WHAT IS A VISION BOARD?

Experienced Life Coach Elena Buriani from LEA Growing People, who has been facilitating Vision Board Groups for over 10 years worldwide, explains that, “A vision board emerges as a collage of images that reflect intimate goals and dreams. It can contain cut-out imagery from magazines and words that inspire us to distill and crystallise our dreams and get to where we want to go. In terms of visualising personal wellbeing aspirations, a vision board is a superb tangible resource to ensure our sustained success in this area.” 


According to the Law of Attraction principle, whatever we focus our energy toward is what we attract. So when we focus our energy on something we genuinely believe in and envisage we have already attained, life manifests these desires.


We can achieve this through a powerful mind exercise called visualisation, where vision boards are one of the top visualisation techniques. In essence, vision boards are collages filled with images and powerful words of what we wish to manifest in life, whether it’s happiness, wealth, peace, fulfilment, or in our case, health.


Elena adds, “Vision boarding is not merely an exercise, it’s an experience. When we go into the flow of visualising our most vibrant selves, our parasympathetic nervous system is harmonised and we go into a gentle altered state of consciousness, a deeply relaxing meditative state.”

She guides groups to ‘feel into’ the wellness goals they have in mind and uses various effective methods to guide participants on an inner voyage of wellbeing discovery that is right-brain focussed. 


“My job is to set people on their individual course by giving them the Vision Board tools, they will then automatically unveil their own clarity, evidenced by the goals placed pictorially in front of them. Visual cues that can be put up either digitally or physically work wonders. Daily motivation is vital to realising our overall wellbeing. “ she concludes.
